Domain Accounts
General
Most Spark computer workstations have a generic `spark` account and password on a sticker on the monitor. This account has limited permissions and its local data is erased periodically. Any data should be stored on the network shared drive, on a personal USB flash drive, or uploaded to your cloud storage provider of choice (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, etc).
Account Request
If you are a member and would like to have local file storage, saved configuration settings, etc, you can reach out to the Electronics Leads with your email address (personal or Spark) and your name on the membership roster and we'll get you a temporary password.
Password Resets
Reach out to the Electronics Leads for a password reset.
Use at your own risk
Spark's Computer system and file storage are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We maintain network resources as a best-effort, and you should back up your work on your own hardware or your own cloud services. If you run into trouble, we'll make a best effort to help out, but make no promises.
