Spark Makerspace Co. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Spark is organized to maximize membership involvement in its leadership while also ensuring that the organization's legal and fiscal responsibilities are adequately met.

Spark's Board of Directors carry the legal and fiscal responsibility for the organization. The Board is presently composed of 8 directors (including a chairperson, vice-chairperson, treasurer, and secretary) and the executive director. The [[bylaws]] provide for two [[#member-elected representatives]] selected by the membership to have full voting seats on the Board. This ensures that the members are fully represented in organizational decisions at this level. Board of Directors meeting minutes are available to members upon request.
